Curated destination to offer customized education, demos, networking and access to key industry suppliers
Washington, D.C. —The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), commonly known as the Baking Expo™ and the Western Hemisphere’s largest baking industry event, is pleased to announce the launch of new and expanded show features tailored and focused on the artisan and specialty baking audience at the 2019 event. IBIE will unveil a new state-of-the-art pavilion introducing show elements specifically produced to support the growth of the artisan and specialty market segment when it stages September 8-11, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This category strategy has been expanding since 2010, when IBIE partnered with the Retail Bakers of America.
Curated competitions, staged demonstrations from celebrity chefs and Certified Master Bakers, tastings, expert Q&A sessions, exhibitor demonstrations and much more will bring the pavilion to life. This prime show floor destination has been designed to offer a truly immersive experience for artisan and specialty bakers, cake decorators and pastry chefs—with learning formats to serve all needs, including hands-on demonstrations and unique product and ingredient exhibits. The world-renowned IBIEducate program will showcase an expanded, full track of sessions highlighting every aspect of the artisan business including: business best practices, marketing techniques, and technical sessions and hands-on sessions that help bakers master their craft and grow their businesses.
“With technology and automation becoming increasingly prevalent in our industry, it’s important to recognize and continue to invest in the artisan movement,” said Joe Turano, IBIE Chair. “IBIE 2019 has focused its efforts to address the unique needs of this growing market segment. This new show floor experience will offer a comprehensive array of education and demonstrations to ensure the artisan community has the tools they need to flourish. Our goal is that artisan and specialty bakers leave IBIE 2019 feeling well-served, connected and inspired.”
