Creativity took center stage, as six teams of elite professional cake decorators challenged each other to a contest of imagination, artistry and skill during one of baking’s most prestigious competitions. Attendees had a front-row view to the action on-site, including celebrity and master baker judges Jorge Amsler, Kathleen Lang, and Julia Fedorova. To add to the event’s excitement, Cyd Mitchell, was commentating the competition and providing expert perspective.
How It Works
This showdown featured 6 teams of Cake Decorating professional pairs. Competitors faced-off in four categories: wedding cake, rolled fondant, buttercream, and a hyper-realistic “Everything is Cake” category. The highest-scoring team, as determined by the panel of judges, was awarded the coveted Pillsbury Bakers’ Plus Grand Champion Trophy. Gold, silver and bronze medals, along with cash prizes will also be awarded for the highest three scores in each category.
