General Info
The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), also known as The Baking Expo™, is the largest North American baking show, bringing together all grain-based foods industry supply chain segments. Held in Las Vegas every three years, IBIE gathers the global community to fuel the next generation of bakers, promote economic growth and shape the future of baking. Owned by the American Bakers Association (ABA) and the Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA), with support from the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), all proceeds from this nonprofit event are invested back into the industry.
Founded in 1920 by ABA and BEMA, IBIE began as a forum for bakers to meet suppliers. Now, the triennial baking expo regularly draws approximately 1,000 exhibitors and 20,000 attendees. It showcases the latest baking technologies, equipment, and ingredient trends. It is also home to IBIEducate, a comprehensive baking conference with sessions for artisan, wholesale and retail bakers, among other professionals. The next show, IBIE 2028, will be held in Las Vegas, Sept. 9-13.
IBIE 2028 will take place Sept. 10-13, 2028 (Sunday–Wednesday) in Las Vegas. NOTE: IBIEducate and other intensive partner education programs begin Saturday, Sept. 9.

The IBIE 2028 Event Code of Conduct helps ensure unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at the event. Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:
- Verbal abuse, which includes but is not limited to verbal or written comments or visual images that are sexually suggestive; that denigrate or show hostility or aversion toward an individual or group of individuals; that create an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment or that unreasonably interfere with an individual’s ability to participate in the event
- Harassment, intimidation or discrimination in any form
- Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors or other unwelcome physical, verbal, visual or other conduct of a sexual nature
- Repeated disruption of presentations, including detracting comments or solicitation of attendees; all participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any IBIE event staff
- Expressed or implied threat of physical or professional harm, including actual or threatened personal or professional retaliation for a rejection or report of unacceptable behavior
If a participant is seen engaging in unacceptable behavior, IBIE event staff are empowered to take appropriate actions that may include but are not limited to removal from the event without warning and/or involving local law enforcement.

The dates for the next IBIE education program, IBIEducate, are Sept. 9-13, 2028.

While attendance projections are not yet available for IBIE 2028, over 1,000 exhibitors and approximately 20,000 attendees attended IBIE 2025.
IBIE attracts professionals from every segment of the baking supply chain, including commercial baking operations, artisan and retail bakeries. pizza restaurants, in-store bakeries, foodservice operators, distributors and suppliers. Attendees include bakery owners, executives, plant managers, production leaders, R&D and food safety professionals, engineers, purchasing teams, operations specialists, pastry chefs and other baking professionals from all over the world.
You do not have to be in the baking industry to attend IBIE 2028, but it is designed for trade professionals. It is NOT a consumer show. If you are not in the industry, please select the “Allied/Other” category when you register. Registrants may bring guests/spouses (anyone over the age of 13 is welcome), but they will be subject to the registration fee.

The IBIE 2028 show management office will be located at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Details will be available closer to the show date.
You must register before getting a letter of invitation. Once you’ve registered, you will receive a link to request an invitation letter for a visa and information about letter delivery options in your registration confirmation email. You can also email [email protected] or call 864-412-4205 to request a visa letter.
Yes, an International Trade Center will be provided for IBIE 2028 international guests. Complimentary refreshments and meeting areas are available to all attendees who have an international badge designation, unless accompanied by sponsoring company personnel. The lounge is open during IBIE expo hours and location details will be shared closer to the event date
Joining your country’s IBIE international delegation includes benefits like discounted registration, exclusive access to the International Lounge, personalized assistance with registration and travel arrangements, and more.
There is no official dress code for IBIE 2028, other than a shirt and shoes required. It’s recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and shoes (covered). Attendees dress in a range of styles, from casual to business suits, with most opting for business casual attire.
Use of professional camera equipment is strictly prohibited on the IBIE show floor. Exceptions are extended to authorized members of the media. Camera passes for media members are available in the Media Information Center in the Las Vegas Convention Center (exact location to be announced closer to the event date). To obtain a pass in advance, contact [email protected].
Once a badge has been printed, replacement badges will be subject to the full registration fee. Please go to the registration area to purchase a new badge and expect to provide identification.
We regret that absolutely no children under 13 years of age (as of the date of requested entry to the IBIE show floor) are permitted, including infants in strollers or carried in a body carrier. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for safety and insurance purposes. IBIE Management will strictly enforce this rule.
Proof of a child’s age may be required to grant admission to the IBIE show floor, such as a birth certificate or official identification issued by a recognized governmental agency or school. Show management has the final decision on whether a child has permission to enter.
Childcare services are not available at IBIE 2028 and children under the age of 13 will not be admitted to the show floor. We strongly discourage bringing young children to the convention center, and having someone watch them in the lobby is not recommended.
Free Wi-Fi service is available in public areas of the Las Vegas Convention Center during IBIE 2028, compliments of the show.
IBIE does offer a mobile app. It will be updated with information for the 2028 show closer to the event date. The IBIE mobile app offers a convenient way to bookmark sessions and exhibitors, schedule appointments with suppliers, navigate the show floor and more.
Cannabis, including marijuana and CBD oils, may not be possessed, used or consumed at IBIE 2028 or in LVCC buildings/outdoor areas. IBIE and its officers, directors, employees and agents hereby disclaim liability for any possession, use or consumption of cannabis by any IBIE exhibitor or participant. Any exhibitor or participant who violates the prohibition on the possession, use or consumption of cannabis at IBIE will be solely responsible for any consequences, claims, demands or damages under applicable federal or state law and by participating in IBIE agrees to release, hold harmless and indemnify IBIE for any consequences, claims, demands or damages that may arise from the exhibitor or participant’s possession, use or consumption of cannabis at IBIE.

While IBIE organizers are focused on bringing the industry together to get business done, our top priority is the health and safety of all participants. The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) was awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facility accreditation by ISSA. This accreditation ensures employees are trained on best practices, protocols, procedures and systems for biorisk prevention and containment. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has also developed a comprehensive plan for a system of cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in collaboration with health officials and key stakeholders.
IBIE organizers have certified ISSA – GBAC trained technicians on staff who have been educated on the principles behind infection and contamination control measures for infectious disease outbreak situations as well as best practices for response and remediation.
IBIE show management is certified by the Event Leadership Institute’s Pandemic On-Site Protocol Training course on the topics of risk mitigation, internal and external team operations, venue operations and guest logistics — including situational awareness, handling and de-escalation tactics — to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Registration Information
Registration details for IBIE 2028 will be available on the website soon and registration will open Fall 2027. Sign up for email notifications to receive registration date and rate announcements.
Registration hours and locations will be announced closer to the IBIE 2028 start date.
The IBIE registration website allows multiple registrations at one time. At the end of the registration process, before checking out, there will be an opportunity to add another person. The additional people in your group will receive the same credentials as the initial registrant. Spouses and guests can be added at the same time. Please note that spouses and guests WILL NOT have credentials assigned to their registration record.
Anyone with different business credentials should register independently, using either the “baker” or “allied/supplier/other” registration type.
Customer service assistance is available in multiple languages: Arabic, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Most internet browsers can also translate IBIE registration pages into your preferred language.

If you/your company are a current member of an IBIE Association — the American Bakers Association (ABA), Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) or Retail Bakers of America (RBA), you qualify for nearly a 25% discount on attendee registration rates. This offer is only available with pre-registration; there are no association discounts for on-site registration.
If you are a member of the American Bakers Association (ABA), Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) or Retail Bakers of America (RBA) and are on their regular mailing list, simply search your name and company on the registration site and the discount will be automatically applied. You can also call your association to verify your company’s membership and have them add you to the discount list. Note that there are no association discounts for on-site registration.
IBIE 2028 badges will not be mailed before the event begins. Bring your registration confirmation with the barcode to an Express Badge Pick-Up station in the registration area, where your badge will be printed.
If you do not receive your registration confirmation email, please call IBIE customer service at 800-310-7554 or 240-439-2554 for international residents. If you need to pick up your badge and do not have a confirmation email, you may be asked to show identification.
Yes, complimentary IBIE passes are available with valid credentials. To be approved for a media badge, upload your credentials during registration. You will be notified when your credentials have been reviewed and approved. To receive a complimentary badge on-site, credentials must be presented in the Media Information Center (2028 location TBA). You can update your registration information any time before your badge is printed by accessing your registration dashboard. To access your dashboard, locate your registration confirmation email or visit the registration website dashboard. Log in with the email and password you created during the registration process, then edit your details.
Yes, you can either call customer service at 864-412-4205 and ask them to make the name change or you can make the name change at any time by editing your registration record online, using your IBIE registration dashboard (see instructions in the previous answer).
After the online substitution deadline (to be announced), substitutions must be made in person at the IBIE registration desk and will be approved if the original registrant’s badge has not been printed, or if the original attendee’s printed badge is turned in at the time of the request of substitution. If the original attendee’s badge has been printed and is NOT turned in, the substitution will not be granted.
Once a badge has been printed, even if lost or forgotten, it will not be reprinted without being charged for a new badge.
The new registrant will have the same access to everything connected to the original registrant’s record; however, if the new registrant does not want to take advantage of any items included in the registration outside of the badge for the expo, they can request a refund in writing by emailing [email protected] or by asking to see the registration manager on-site
A refund will be offered ONLY if registration is canceled on or before the cancellation cutoff date (TBA). Refund requests must be made via email, sent to [email protected]. After that date, refunds will be offered at the discretion of IBIE show management.
IBIEducate Information
All IBIEducate programming is included with your registration. This gives you complimentary access to IBIEducate sessions, as well as the demos and presentations on the show floor. Specialty courses and workshops are not included and must be added to your IBIE 2028 registration. Pricing information for these offerings will be available closer to the show start date.
Attendees who arrive more than 10 minutes late to a hands-on class will not be permitted to participate or receive a refund. Please direct questions to IBIE representatives in the registration area.
Attendees may access all the IBIEducate seminar sessions located in session rooms on and outside the show floor. More information on the tracks and session topics for IBIE 2028 will be available on the website closer to the event start date. Please note that classroom seating is first-come, first-served.
Hands-on classes and other specialty courses are offered for an additional fee and must be added during the registration process.
The Business of Baking for Beginners, better known as “BOB,” is designed for bakery operators who have been in the industry for 10 years or less. During the all-day workshop, experts and Certified Master Bakers will share tricks of the trade and answer questions.
BOB is brought to you by the Retail Bakers of America (RBA) and can be added during the registration process for an additional fee. More details will be available closer to the IBIE 2028 start date.
Corporate/Small Meetings Program
Holding your company’s annual meeting in conjunction with IBIE 2028 allows you to reduce travel expenses and travel time, get free or discounted meeting space and give your staff the opportunity to participate in the largest baking event in North America. Hotels and Transportation
Special hotel rates and travel discounts will be available exclusively for IBIE 2028 participants. More information will be available on the website (including booking links) closer to the show date.
Transportation information for IBIE 2028 will be available on the website closer to the show date. The Las Vegas Monorail is also available and offers transit to the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) from several hotels.

Las Vegas Convention Center Info
Yes, ATMs are located throughout LVCC, including the North Hall and Grand Concourse lobbies.
The First Aid station, staffed by a licensed EMT, is located on the Grand Concourse, near the Security office. In the event of any situation requiring prompt emergency handling — fire, police, ambulance — within the Las Vegas Convention Center, proceed at once to the first aid center or call 702-892-7400 or 7400 from any house phone for in-house Security. Building security will handle all contact with official agencies.
The Las Vegas Convention Center features an on-site business center, offered in partnership with FedEx. The center is located in the West, North and South Hall lobbies. The following are available exclusively to guests: faxing, packaging, shipping, and receiving, email and internet browsing, office supplies, photocopying, signs/posters/banners, business cards and copy machine rentals. They also serve as the pick-up and drop-off point for electronic scooter rental. Please visit the business center on-site for assistance, call +1-702-733-2898 or email [email protected]. There are FedEx Office locations on-site, in the West, North and South Hall lobbies of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Convention cafes and restaurants are conveniently located throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center, including flagship restaurants, as well as concession stands offering a myriad of options.
