GENERAL INFO
ABOUT IBIE
The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) is the most significant event in the Americas, bringing together all grain-based foods industry supply chain segments. Held in Las Vegas every three years, IBIE gathers the baking community to fuel the next generation of bakers, promote economic growth, to learn and advance the future of baking together. Owned by the American Bakers Association (ABA), and the Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) and supported by the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), all proceeds from this non-profit event are invested back into the grain-based food industry.
The triennial show is expected to draw approximately 1,000 exhibitors and 20,000 baking professionals. The International Baking Industry Exposition is the largest baking trade show held in North America that showcases the industry’s latest technologies, equipment, and new product introductions.
IBIE is produced by the International Baking Industry Exposition LLC and supported by the American Bakers Association (ABA), BEMA, and the Retail Bakers of America (RBA). IBIE was founded in 1920 by ABA and BEMA to provide a forum to connect bakers with suppliers to further the good of the industry. Proceeds from the show are invested back into the industry.

What measures has IBIE taken to safely hold the Baking Expo™?
- While we are focused on bringing the industry together to get business done, our top priority is the health and safety for everyone who plans to participate in the upcoming Baking Expo™. The Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) was awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facility accreditation by ISSA. They are the first facility in Nevada to achieve this accreditation, ensuring that employees are trained with best work practices, protocols, procedures, and systems for biorisk prevention and containment.
- The LVCVA also developed a comprehensive plan for a new system of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention. After extensive, thoughtful research on health and safety protocols and industry best practices, the plan was developed in collaboration with health officials and key stakeholders.
- IBIE Show Organizers have certified ISSA – GBAC Trained Technicians on-staff who have been trained on the principles behind infection and contamination control measures for infectious disease outbreak situations such as the novel coronavirus, as well as best practices for response and remediation.
- IBIE Show Management is certified by the Event Leadership Institute’s Pandemic On-Site Protocol Training course on the topics of risk mitigation, internal and external team operations, venue operations, and guest logistics, including situational awareness, handling, and de-escalation tactics – to ensure a safe environment for on-site staff and guests.
