Thinking about your options after college? Fire up your future with opportunities in the baking industry designed exclusively for students at IBIE 2028. The International Baking Industry Exposition is the largest grain-based food event in the Western Hemisphere, offering a chance to learn more about hundreds of careers across the full spectrum of skills and specialties in a craft as old as mankind.

Student Volunteer Program

Volunteer for five hours to assist sessions and demos and you’ll receive free registration for IBIE 2028. This includes access to the expo hall and all IBIEducate sessions, a $295 value.

Behind-the-scenes access and educational opportunities. Tasks include helping with the show-floor competitions, celebrity-led demonstrations and educational seminars. You’ll also work closely with notable demonstrators, competitors and presenters.
Networking with key industry professionals and potential employers. Over 20,000 baking professionals representing every segment of the grain-based food industry are expected to attend IBIE. Get in front of future employers and expand your network with established bakers, celebrity chefs and key suppliers.
A preview of the next generation of technology. At IBIE, the baking industry’s newest advances are on full display in more than 1 million gross square feet of exhibit space, and innovative technology applications for every product category. Automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, efficiency, safety — you may be surprised how cutting edge this industry can be.

Student Immersion Program

This enhanced experience includes a scholarship that covers travel, hotel and IBIE registration, and pairs you with an industry mentor.

Designed to fuel your curiosity and kick-start your career in the baking world, you’ll be hosted as a special guest at IBIE, with exclusive opportunities to meet leadership, network with exhibitors, take a bakery tour and explore the show floor like a pro.

This program is only open to students enrolled in higher education or trade school programs. It requires students be accompanied by a faculty advisor (their travel/stay will also be covered).

Students are required to volunteer at IBIEducate and write a paper after the event. We encourage students from all facets of the baking industry to apply.
