COMPANY PRESS RELEASES

Let IBIE help you get the exposure your company deserves! Submit your press release to [email protected] for the IBIE Digital Press Room for media to view before, during and after the show. Simply follow the guidelines below to get started.

Submission requirements:

  • Only one document per exhibitor, must be submitted in PDF form and under 1 MB
  • File must be named as follows: Exhibiting Company Name, Booth # (Example: IBIE, Booth #12345)
  • Release must include “International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE)” at least once.

Use the IBIE Pre-registered Media List

Don’t stop with the IBIE Digital Press Room—contacting the media in advance of the show (starting June 2025) is also an effective way to drive coverage for your show announcements. To access the pre-registered media list of those reporters and analysts who “opted-in” to receive news, contact [email protected].

Note: While you are onsite, gather contact information from media you visit with. Not only does this help build your media outreach list, but allows you to follow-up with samples or a simple ‘thank you for visiting’ email!

TIPS FOR PITCHING THE PRESS

Contacting the media can be a challenging task given the fast-paced nature of the industry. Consider these tips to help engage media:

Personalize the Pitch

The importance of getting to know the media pros covering the industry cannot be underestimated. The more you interact with them on social media, understand what they cover, know their preferred method of receiving information and reference other stories they’ve written, the more genuinely interested they’ll be.

Anticipate Questions

Media professionals are stretched thin and have little time for back and forth. Brainstorm questions they may ask ahead of time and provide the answers in your pitch. The more information you provide up-front, the greater the likelihood the reporter can understand what you’re sharing without time-consuming follow-ups.

Entice Media Through Social

By utilizing social media as a starting point with media outreach, you can direct reporters to your news release with brief, interesting descriptions and embedded links. Writers get an overview of trends or products being launched at #IBIE2025, for instance, and using social media is an easy way to find additional information. As an added bonus, it’s an exercise to measure engagement on social media channels for press contacts.

Include Multimedia

Media professionals have come to expect photos and videos (after all, they help tell a comprehensive story). Make sure you include them as part of your pitch. As the old adage goes, sometimes a picture can tell a story better than 1,000 words.

PRESS ROOM

Get in front of media utilizing the onsite press room. Place your company press kits in the press room for editor pick-up and review.
