2025 Media Credentials Policy
MEDIA & INFLUENCER CREDENTIALS
It’s our pleasure to welcome accredited members of the media and respected social and digital media content creators for their coverage of IBIE 2025. We require qualification to ensure that media access is directed to those actively engaged in covering the expo. We’ve established the criteria below for complimentary media and influencer badges. If you don’t meet the criteria but still want to join us, we invite you to register as an attendee.

TO QUALIFY FOR MEDIA CREDENTIALS
- The applicant should be editorial press covering the industry (within relevant sectors) or be a mainstream business reporter or national/local broadcaster looking to cover baking industry news.
- Exceptions may be made for local media interested in covering the show. Local media are encouraged to send an email for assistance with logistics.

- The following job roles in the media industry are welcome to attend the show but must purchase a registration—advertising sales representatives, producers, marketing staff, promotion companies, Social Media agencies, PR agencies, and Advertising/Branding agencies, filmmakers, photographers for hire, and spouses.
- Those representing personal websites, personal travel blogs, or personal social media accounts will not qualify for press credentials. To be considered for a press badge, bloggers digital content creators and influencers MUST create content related to the baking industry and its vertical markets. See below for more information.
- The deadline to apply online for media credentials and receive pre-approval is noon on August 29, 2025. After that date, all documentation must be presented on-site in the IBIE Media Office. Onsite media registrants will be asked to provide the same criteria outlined below to qualify.
- Reporters and/or editors’ registration fees will be covered at the discretion of IBIE. Reporters and/or editors are responsible for their travel and lodging.
- A history of being registered at previous events does not guarantee approval or waive the accreditation requirement. Travel to the show does not guarantee admittance.
MEDIA REGISTRATION CRITERIA BY CATEGORY
All media registrations are reviewed before being approved/denied by IBIE show management. Anyone who registers as ‘media’ must meet the following criteria and submit credentials in order to be approved.
BROADCAST REPORTERS & CREW
Please provide the following for review and consideration by IBIE show management:
- Network News: A business card from a major TV network reflecting your editorial role.
- Non-network Outlets: A letter from the news director or assignment editor on station/network letterhead stating that you have been assigned to represent the organization in an editorial capacity. Non-network outlets include small news channels, independent news, web news, etc.
FREELANCE AND CONTRIBUTING WRITERS / PHOTOGRAPHERS
Please provide the following for review and consideration by IBIE show management:
- An email or scan of the original letter on the assigning publication’s letterhead from the assigning editor or news director with a writing assignment detailing a specific coverage assignment at IBIE.
INDUSTRY WEBSITES & BLOGS
Websites and blogs must include content related to the baking industry and its vertical markets and previously established with a proven track record showing coverage of products within the industry for at least 1 year. The website/blog must be an independent site (not a site that aggregates content) and updated at least biweekly with original and industry-related news.
Please provide all of the following for review and consideration by IBIE show management:
- URL of the website or blog and links to relevant posts within the past six months
- Site analytics that demonstrate at least 5,000 unique visits per month
- A brief pitch for your intended pre-show coverage
- A statement of purpose for attending IBIE 2025
EXHIBITOR BLOGS
Exhibitors gathering content for their corporate blogs will not be classified as media and will not receive a media badge in addition to or in place of an exhibitor badge.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Publishers: IBIE show management will approve one publisher per media outlet, but the publisher must serve in an editorial role and provide the credentials listed above for review and consideration. Publishers will be required to purchase their own registration if the publisher doesn’t have an editorial role and cannot verify an editorial history, or exceeds the allotted amount per company.
- Digital Content Creators: Self-promoting blogs and blogs that merely aggregate third-party content will not be considered. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest sites, forums, crowdsourcing sites and user groups will not be considered for working media credentials but can register for an Exhibit Hall Pass. YouTube may be considered depending on content type; send an email for review and consideration.
- Photographers: Photographers & videographers contracted by or working for exhibiting companies are not eligible for a media badge. With a media credential badge, photographers/videographers are not permitted to solicit their services.
ON-SITE MEDIA REGISTRATION
If you choose to register on-site, please be sure to bring printed copies of the qualification criteria, as noted above. IBIE staff will review your materials on-site in the press office.
The following onsite registrants will NOT be granted media badges:
- Freelancers without a specific editorial assignment
- Photographers without a specific/written editorial assignment
- Blog writers/owners who do not provide the defined site analytics or have not been covering products in the industry for at least one (1) year. Personal blogs/hobby blogs do not qualify as media
- Requests from those without the credentials criteria required, as detailed above
- People who applied online and were already denied credentials
- Local media that does not cover the industry
RIGHT OF REFUSAL
IBIE show management reserves the right to deny media credentials at their sole discretion. Show management also reserves the right to modify media qualification criteria at any time. Misconduct or misrepresentation of position and/or publication/news organization will bar you and your organization from all future IBIE events.
By registering for the show, you explicitly consent to receive fax, telephone and email communications from IBIE under 47 U.S.C. Code 227 and any other applicable regulations.
Travel to the show location does not guarantee admittance.

IBIE MEDIA REGISTRATION ELIGIBILITY: INFLUENCERS
To qualify for influencer media credentials, you must meet the following criteria:
- Influencers are defined as top-tier social media content creators with a following above 15,000 on at least one platform. Credentialed influencers will receive one (1) complimentary registration pass to IBIE 2025. Influencers must re-register for each expo; previous acceptance does not guarantee continued approval. Credentialed influencers are responsible for their travel and accommodation.
- All Influencer applicants must post, share and engage with content related to the baking industry and its vertical markets on social media networks contributing to the 15,000 following requirement.
- Influencer Applicants: please submit the following for review and consideration:
- A statement of purpose for attending IBIE; including your role at your organization.
- Links to all relevant Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc. pages displaying past posts within the last six months related to the baking industry with an active following of more than 15,000 followers and at least two pieces of original content published per week.
- Please note: Future IBIE attendance will require the above credentials as well as verification of pre-show and at-show posts as outlined in the below terms and conditions to qualify as an Influencer.
IBIE MEDIA REGISTRATION AGREEMENT: INFLUENCERS
Approved Influencers: Influencers agree to and are required to adhere to the following terms and conditions:
- To create their own original content, including copy and images, to support and promote IBIE. Content will be required credentials to be considered for future events.
- To post a minimum of three (3) times on their submitted/relevant social media channels before and a minimum of three (3) times during the event using the hashtag #IBIE2025 and tagging the official IBIE (Baking Expo) account.
- The 6-post requirement must be fulfilled as individual posts as opposed to albums or stories. Any posts beyond the six required posts are welcome to be posted as albums or stories.
- To place hashtags in the post caption; not in the comments below.
- Will not delete their posts/content about IBIE until at least three months after IBIE 2025 ends.
- The influencer agreement is effective from the date of registration approval and upon receipt of registration confirmation and valid for the agreed-upon months from the effective date.

Approved influencers who do not adhere to the terms and conditions as outlined in the above policy may have their IBIE 2025 credentials rescinded and will not be approved for complimentary badges at future events.
Important: Post verification will be required for IBIE 2025 attendance and future show badge approval.
