Creative Cake Decorating Competition 2025
Creativity will take center stage, as six teams of elite professional cake decorators challenge each other to a contest of imagination, artistry and skill. This year marks the 20th edition of this prestigious cake decorating competition, held in the expo’s popular Retail Bakers Center. Attendees will have a front-row view of the action, as cake artists create right on the show floor.

How It Works
This showdown will feature 6 teams of cake decorating professional pairs. Competitors will face off in four categories: wedding cake, rolled fondant, buttercream, and sculpted cake. The highest-scoring team, as determined by a panel of judges, will be awarded the coveted Pillsbury Bakers’ Plus Grand Champion Trophy. Gold, silver and bronze medals, along with cash prizes will also be awarded for the highest scores in each category.
Judged by:
Julia Fedorova, internationally recognized cake sculptor known for her hyper-realistic creations and mastery of fondant and edible artistry.
Gail Kollman, award-winning cake designer and sugar artist with decades of experience in competitive cake decorating and instruction.
Ann Marie Walker, bestselling author and devoted baking enthusiast who brings a fresh consumer perspective and a keen eye for creativity, storytelling, and visual impact in cake design.
