Panettone World Cup – Americas Selection

The Panettone World Cup will make its debut at IBIE 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Open to pastry chefs throughout the Western Hemisphere*, this contest will determine who advances to the World Final in Milan, Italy, where finalists will compete for the global grand championship title in November 2026.
To participate, competitors must first register for the Baking Expo™ and pay a €200 entry fee. All participants will have full access to the expo and its educational programming.
*Except for Brazil and Peru, which have separate national contests.
How It Works
Applications are open through August 31, 2025, with only 30 spots per category (Traditional and Chocolate). Accepted applicants will receive confirmation and instructions for submitting their panettone for judging.
Live judging will take place on September 16, 2025, at IBIE in West Hall #3245 – Artisan Village. An esteemed panel will evaluate each entry on:
- External appearance (shape, volume, color)
- Interior structure (honeycomb, fruit distribution, roundness)
- Sensory qualities (aroma, flavor, overall balance)
The prestigious jury is made up of: Biagio Settepani, pastry chef, Franck Riffaud, Complex Executive Pastry Chef Hilton, Stéphane Tréand, MOF. Patissier, Bilena Settepani, Pastry chef, Nicolas Botomisy, expert in chocolate and will evaluate the external appearance (shape, volume and color), the cut appearance (hive, fruit distribution and softness) and sensory appreciation such as aroma, flavor and aromaticity.
